This initiative strengthens the museum’s role as a vibrant center for knowledge and social connection during Ramadan.

Reviving Tradition with “Ramadan Gathering”

The “Ramadan Gathering” event runs from tomorrow until March 1, featuring an array of cultural, heritage, and interactive activities designed to enrich the community’s experience. This year’s theme, “Gardens and Stories,” highlights the Sharjah Museums Authority’s commitment to fostering community engagement and establishing the museum as a dynamic cultural hub. The initiative blends entertainment with education, providing an interactive showcase of Islamic culture in a way that resonates with visitors of all ages.

Diverse Activities for All Ages

The event offers a diverse program of cultural and educational activities, including interactive workshops, educational games, theatrical performances, and Ramadan-themed competitions. In addition, special family sessions and a dedicated food corner aim to create a welcoming atmosphere that embodies the spirit of the holy month. Enriching Visitor Experience with Guided Tours

Enhancing the overall experience of attendees is the temporary exhibition “Andalusian Cultural Landscapes.” The exhibition features more than 60 artistic and historical pieces, including several that are on display for the first time in Sharjah. The exhibition showcases the agricultural and cultural heritage of Andalusia within a visually engaging narrative, combining the beauty of nature with profound human experience.

This initiative embodies the spirit of inclusion and cultural appreciation, inviting everyone to explore the treasures of the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization. Free access to the museum throughout Ramadan will undoubtedly enhance the communal bonds that are cherished during this sacred month.
