In a vibrant celebration of heritage and creativity, Dubai Culture has announced the launch of the fifth edition of “ليالي حتّا الثقافية” (Hatta Cultural Nights). This eagerly awaited event aims to showcase a diverse array of cultural and heritage experiences for visitors to the Hatta region. Emphasizing the area’s rich history, nature, and authentic culture, this initiative strives to elevate Hatta’s status on the tourism map. Following the success of last year’s event, which won the “Best Community Event” award at the 2025 Middle East Events Awards, Dubai Culture continues to foster its commitment to developing Hatta through cultural and artistic initiatives.
Connecting Culture and Community
During this occasion, Maryam Dhaen Al Tamimi, Acting Director of Heritage Sites at Dubai Culture, emphasized the authority’s dedication to highlighting Hatta’s cultural heritage and historical potential. She stated, “ليالي حتّا الثقافية is an important space through which we aim to shed light on the region’s rich history, heritage, and authentic culture, showcasing its unique cultural pathways and experiences. This contributes to enhancing the quality of life in the area and solidifying Hatta’s position on the tourism map.” The event also supports local residents and entrepreneurs, facilitating opportunities for creators to develop their economic and cultural projects, which aligns with Dubai Culture’s commitment to preserving local heritage and passing it on to future generations.
Exciting Activities and Performances
The program for “ليالي حتّا الثقافية” will take place at the Hatta Heritage Village from December 20, 2025, to January 1, 2026. It features an array of heritage activities and artistic performances that reflect the authenticity of the local culture. Attendees can look forward to impressive folkloric performances by various popular troupes, alongside sessions of traditional music played on the rebab and oud, entertaining circus acts, and creative workshops. Highlights include workshops on “Traditional Coffee” and “Stargazing,” as well as an “Innovation Studio,” making the event a must-attend for cultural enthusiasts.
Showcasing Local Cinema and Arts
Throughout the event, which is hosted in collaboration with Sama Dubai, the media partner for this initiative, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a “Cinema Exhibition” featuring archived footage and programs showcasing traditional series. This initiative enriches the audience’s experience by offering a chance to explore the depth of the local creative scene. “ليالي حتّا الثقافية,” which is part of the “شِتَا حتّا” initiative, will feature a crafts market highlighting traditional handmade crafts. This marketplace will also present a vibrant bazaar showcasing the creations of local producers, reflecting their strong ties to the regional heritage.
