In an effort to promote road safety awareness among young students, a series of informative lectures focused on traffic safety concepts were organized for participants in summer activities. These lectures, aimed at elementary and middle school students, represent a crucial initiative to instill important knowledge about road safety. Under the auspices of the General Department of Traffic and in partnership with the General Department for Drug Control, represented by the International Protection Center within Dubai Police, a series of educational and recreational activities were held in the regions of Dubai and Hatta. These events targeted students enrolled in summer programs as part of a broader campaign organized by the Dubai Police. The initiative operates under the banner of “Our Summer is Security and Happiness…Innovation and Leadership,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority of Dubai, and various external bodies.
Brigadier Issam Al-Awar, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, emphasized that these initiatives align with Dubai Police’s vision to enhance public awareness of traffic safety through innovative methods that blend education and entertainment. “The aim is to equip students with the knowledge they need to navigate the roads safely,” he stated. This approach not only raises awareness but also encourages responsible behavior among young individuals.
