On 11 August 2026, the Family Development Foundation, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, organised a series of informative workshops aimed at employees within the finance department. These workshops formed part of the “Retirement Preparation Forum,” coordinated by the Baraka Al-Dar Social Club under the Foundation’s auspices.
Enhancing Early Financial Planning
This initiative is a crucial element of the Foundation’s activities commemorating the Year of the Family. It seeks to strengthen financial literacy among employees and lay down robust foundations for long-term financial planning across various life cycles and career stages, particularly focusing on retirement readiness. The workshops equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to proactively manage this significant life phase, ultimately contributing to the financial stability of their families and enhancing their ongoing contributions to both family and community.
Insights from Leadership
Wafaa Al Ali, Director of Family Development at the Foundation, emphasised that retirement is a natural transition in a person’s career path, necessitating early preparation. This foresight enhances one’s ability to adjust to its changing dynamics.
Mohammed Al Ansari, Director of Employee Experience at the Department of Finance, remarked, “The organisation of these awareness workshops reflects our collaboration with the Family Development Foundation. It underscores the importance of joint governmental efforts in empowering employees throughout their professional journey by providing them with essential information and tools to plan for their futures.”
