With check-in time at their hotel set for 3 PM, Al-Harmi suggested making use of their remaining time by enjoying a swim, an activity he was both passionate about and adept at.
The group entered the sea, reveling in the moment until they were unexpectedly caught by strong currents that swept them into deeper waters. While his friends managed to escape, Al-Harmi struggled against the waves and ultimately succumbed to a cardiac arrest, as confirmed by medical reports.

Following the tragedy, his body was returned to Dubai International Airport on an Emirates flight at dawn.
