Emirates Airline has officially entered into a multi-billion-dirham agreement with Dubai Investments Park, paving the way for the development of a new Cabin Crew Village designed to serve as a dedicated residential area for its workforce. This strategic investment underscores Emirates’ commitment to enhancing the living conditions for its cabin crew members, ensuring their well-being and operational efficiency.
Details of the Agreement
The agreement facilitates the acquisition of land specifically intended for the construction of the Cabin Crew Village, a project anticipated to accommodate up to 12,000 staff members. Set to be realized through a long-term lease, groundbreaking is slated for the second quarter of 2026, with initial phases expected to reach completion by 2029.
Ali Mubarak Al Soori, Emirates’ Chief Procurement and Facilities Officer, and Khalid Bin Kalban, Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Investments, formalized the agreement in a signing ceremony attended by key executives from both organizations, including Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer, Adel Al Redha.
A Community Tailored for Cabin Crew
The Cabin Crew Village will feature 20 modern residential buildings, each comprising 19 floors and a variety of accommodation options, including one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The design emphasizes comfort and convenience, addressing the unique needs of cabin crew members, ensuring they have a supportive environment to call home.
“Our cabin crew are central to the experience Emirates delivers to customers. This investment is part of our broader commitment to supporting their well-being by offering living spaces designed around their needs and lifestyles,” Al Soori stated. “The Cabin Crew Village will provide everything our crew need within a single, thoughtfully planned development, with convenient access to everyday essentials, leisure facilities, and communal spaces that foster a strong sense of community.”
Comprehensive Amenities and Lifestyle Features
The initiative aims to create a complete lifestyle destination, incorporating a central multi-purpose facility filled with retail options, dining establishments, and various amenities. Beyond residential support, the development will also include modern fitness centers, clinics, beautifully landscaped public areas, and parks. To promote an active outdoor lifestyle, the design will feature walking trails, resort-style swimming pools, and ample green spaces, encouraging residents to engage with their surroundings.
