Today, the Egyptian port of Al-Arish welcomed the arrival of the humanitarian ship “Emirates Humanitarian,” marking the tenth vessel in the Emirati aid initiative directed towards Gaza. This effort is supported by the Emirates Agency for International Development and the Emirates Red Crescent as part of Operation “Brave Knight 3.” The assistance aims to alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis faced by the Palestinian people, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to providing critical support to its Palestinian brothers.
A Significant Delivery of Aid
The “Emirates Humanitarian” ship, which set sail from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, carries over 7,200 tons of humanitarian assistance. This includes 4,680 tons of food supplies, 2,160 tons of shelter materials, and 360 tons of medical supplies. Additionally, four water tanks are onboard to support vital water projects, with plans for the cargo to be transferred to the residents of Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.
Impact on Palestinian Families
It is estimated that around 1.5 million individuals from Palestinian families in northern, central, and southern Gaza will benefit from the contents of this vessel. This makes it one of the largest shipments in terms of humanitarian impact and the number of beneficiaries since the UAE commenced its relief operations in the region.
Continued Humanitarian Efforts
The arrival of this ship aligns with the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering during these challenging conditions. Coordination with relevant authorities in the Arab Republic of Egypt is in full swing to ensure seamless delivery of the aid.
Logistical Coordination at Al-Arish
Sources at Al-Arish port have indicated that efforts are underway to coordinate the unloading of the humanitarian aid and transport it to logistical warehouses in the city. This process is essential for preparing the supplies for dispatch to Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing, ensuring a steady flow of aid and continuity in the Emirati relief efforts supporting the Palestinian people.
