The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has unveiled its theme for the 12th edition of the Dubai Global Project Management Forum, titled “From Vision to Impact”. The event is set to take place from January 10 to 13, 2027, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. Organised by the RTA in collaboration with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emaar Properties, and the Project Management Institute (PMI), this forum will attract key decision-makers, government leaders, business executives, and project management experts from the UAE and around the globe.

The 12th forum will address four primary themes and twelve sub-topics that revolve around future trends and technology, sustainable communities, the future of project management, and business continuity. These discussions will reflect the rapid transformations taking place in the project management landscape and highlight its crucial role in supporting economic and social development, accelerating digital transformation, and enhancing resilience in institutions and urban environments.

Matar Al Tayer, the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors at the RTA, noted that the Dubai Global Project Management Forum has established itself over the past eleven editions as a prominent fixture in the global conference agenda, serving as an influential international platform for knowledge exchange. It brings together experts and leaders to share best practices and innovative insights that enhance project planning, execution, and management methodologies, empowering governments and institutions to turn strategies into tangible, sustainable outcomes.

“The slogan of the 12th edition, ‘From Vision to Impact’, encapsulates Dubai’s essence and work ethic, which is underpinned by a clear vision, quality planning, swift execution, and the measurement of project impacts on society,” Al Tayer explained. He emphasized that project management is fundamental in transforming plans and strategies into successful achievements that foster economic growth, improve quality of life, and prepare cities and institutions for global transformations. Since its launch in 2014, the forum has drawn over 25,000 participants and more than 450 speakers, demonstrating the growing global trust in its mission and its unique position as a reference point for exchanging best practices, building partnerships, and anticipating future project management trends.

The selection of the 12th edition’s slogan and themes was the result of a specialised workshop that included participants from both the public and private sectors, strategic partners, the academic community, and several project management experts. The first theme, “Future Trends and Technology,” delves into three subtopics: digital transformation strategies, innovation, institutional readiness, and data-driven decision-making. The second theme, “Sustainable Communities,” focuses on smart and sustainable cities, resilient and sustainable infrastructure systems, and social and economic sustainability.
