According to a recent press release, 60% of the applications launched through the program utilize artificial intelligence technologies. This highlights the efforts being made to adopt these advanced technologies in Dubai’s private sector and promotes their use in developing digital solutions. The “Application Innovation Acceleration Program” is an intensive 45-day technical program during the “Application Innovation Competition.” The program aims to support startups in transforming promising application ideas into ready-to-launch products. This year, it gathered participants from 22 countries representing 13 different sectors, reflecting the diversity and creativity in addressing current challenges.
Through an organized process and specialized guidance, teams successfully developed application prototypes compatible with iOS and Android systems. This preparation demonstrates their readiness for successful launches on the “App Store” and “Google Play.” Said Saeed Al Quraishi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy: “The Application Innovation Acceleration Program reflects Dubai’s commitment to supporting innovation and digital entrepreneurship. The program ensures that all promising potentials are harnessed, and the launch of the 32 applications showcases the impact of these efforts on the digital economy.”
This year, the program provided over 170 hours of individual mentoring and included six specialized workshops covering key topics such as user experience and interface design, marketing, compliance, and scaling applications. This expansion is clearly evident compared to the previous version of the program, demonstrating the success of efforts to improve quality and diversity.
