Third Climate Finance Conference in Hong Kong
The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) have announced that the third edition of their joint Climate Finance Conference will take place on 10 September 2026 in Hong Kong. This essential initiative aims to bolster climate finance in both the Middle East and Asia.
Conference Theme and Objectives
This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Leading the Transformation in a Changing World,” as part of the prominent Green Hong Kong Week 2026. It is set to be supported by the Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited and Nasdaq Dubai.
Focus on Sustainable Finance
The gathering will bring together a distinguished group of business leaders, investors, and policymakers who will explore partnership opportunities and financial solutions essential for fostering a sustainable green transition amidst global uncertainty. Key discussions will centre around emerging strategic sectors in both Dubai and Hong Kong.
Agenda Highlights
The agenda will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and roundtables, all aimed at emphasising the pivotal role of both financial centres in driving sectoral transformation. Eddie Yu, the Chief Executive of the HKMA, remarked, “The current global uncertainty presents real challenges to the green transition; therefore, sustainable financial hubs like Hong Kong and Dubai need to collaborate to direct capital toward innovative solutions that support this journey. We look forward to transforming discussions into tangible business and investment opportunities.”
