Dubai Stud made a striking statement on the international Arabian horse stage, finishing the first European stop of the fourth phase of the 2026 Arabian Horse Tour in Monaco with two gold medals and a bronze. The strong showing at the Port Hercule venue, one of the principality’s most recognizable landmarks, underscored the stud’s standing among the world’s leading breeders and placed Dubai Stud Monaco firmly in the spotlight from the opening round of the European leg.
The achievement came in a highly competitive edition that brought together some of the finest Arabian horses and most prominent studs in the sport. With the presence of Emirates Equestrian Federation Secretary-General Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri and a large gathering of figures from the Arabian horse community, Dubai Stud Monaco emerged as the standout name of the event, leading the field on medal count and on the strength of its horses’ scores across three demanding categories.
The gold medals were secured by D Sharar, who topped his class with 92.79 points, and D Naila, who captured the championship among the finest mares on display. Dubai Stud also added a bronze through the colt D Mazoon, completing a results sheet that reflected both depth and quality. For the stud, Dubai Stud Monaco became more than a strong result; it became a clear marker of consistency at the highest level.
Strong finishes across the leaderboard
Beyond the podium, several other Dubai Stud horses delivered notable performances and finished among the top-ranked contenders. D Yaman placed fourth in the yearling colts championship, while filly D Rowa also finished fourth in the fillies’ class. Mare D Joudi took fifth place, and filly D Niran claimed second in her group, further demonstrating the breadth of the stud’s competitive string. The consistency across the roster reinforced the quality behind Dubai Stud Monaco and highlighted the stud’s ability to contend in multiple divisions at once.
A proud start to the European leg
Engineer Mohammed Al Tuhidi, general supervisor and general manager of Dubai Stud, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome in what was the stud’s first appearance in Monaco under the Arabian Horse Tour’s European schedule for 2026. He praised the overall standard of the event, noting the level of competition and the progress seen in global Arabian horse breeding.
“We are pleased with the results achieved by our stud, and we are equally pleased with the level of horses competing in the championship, which reflects the tremendous development in the global production of high-quality Arabian horses. It is a promising start to the European stops of the Arabian Horse Tour. Monaco was an excellent choice for hosting the event, one that matched the importance and beauty of the championship. The Arabian Horse Tour is a major project, and in every stop we have delivered results worthy of our global standing. We remain committed to our efforts and to excellence,” he said. In his view, Dubai Stud Monaco aligned perfectly with the prestige of the series.
A milestone event in Monaco
For Abdulaziz Al Marzooqi, executive director of Dubai Stud, the Monaco stage added fresh value to the Arabian Horse Tour and delivered a world-class sporting showcase marked by fierce competition. He said the goal from the outset was to open the tour’s stops with gold and first-place finishes, a target met by D Sharar and the elegant D Naila. He also highlighted the bronze earned by the handsome D Mazoon, along with the strong top-five finishes recorded by other horses from the stud.
“We were determined to begin the Arabian Horse Tour stages with gold and first place, and D Sharar and the beautiful mare D Naila helped us achieve that goal. The lovely colt D Mazoon also secured a valuable bronze medal among some of the most beautiful colts in the world, while the rest of our horses managed to place among the top five in their classes. These are historic results in a historic championship,” he said. For the team, Dubai Stud Monaco was a memorable chapter in a season already rich with expectations.
