The Dubai Police has launched its inaugural session of student debates focused on artificial intelligence, marking a significant step in fostering constructive dialogue and enhancing critical thinking skills among youth. This event is part of the “School Security” initiative, in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai. Through discussions surrounding “Artificial Intelligence and its Various Applications,” students from various private schools gathered to explore how AI influences education and society, aligning with the police’s vision to engage young minds in future-oriented conversations.

The Dubai Police, represented by the “School Security” initiative, hosted the first session of student debates aimed at enriching students’ understanding of the importance of technology, specifically artificial intelligence. This initiative reflects their ongoing efforts to promote a culture of thoughtful dialogue while enabling students to keep pace with technological advancements. Attending this inaugural session were several officers, educational leaders, and representatives from various educational institutions, including participants from Al Rashid Al Saleh Private School and Al Shorouk Private School.

According to Captain Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, head of the School Security initiative, the organization of these student debates complements Dubai Police’s commitment to investing in youth. “Building a knowledgeable and analytical generation is essential for sustainable development and community safety,” he noted. The debates also aim to heighten students’ awareness of the impact of modern technology and artificial intelligence on shaping the future. In a complementary remark, Amer Al Madani, Director of Student Empowerment at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, highlighted that the Dubai Education Strategy 2033 aims to cultivate a generation capable of global competitiveness. “Student debates are crucial for fostering young voices as active partners in issues that affect their lives,” he said, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and constructive dialogue in developing informed opinions.

The event featured three rounds of debates covering various facets of artificial intelligence. The first round discussed AI’s role in enhancing educational processes, while the second examined how AI contributes to student success and academic excellence.
