The Dubai Police have launched the second generation of the “Ghayath” smart patrols, marking a significant step in the city’s commitment to enhancing safety and smart transportation. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Al-Futtaim Group, incorporates the latest technologies to ensure security, sustainability, and smart transportation, and is pivotal in Dubai’s pursuit of excellence in the security field.
Official Launch of Dubai Police
The launch ceremony for the second generation of the “Ghayath” smart patrols was attended by prominent figures, including the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri; the Deputy CEO of BYD, Stella Li; and the Vice Chairman and CEO of Al-Futtaim Group, Omar Al Futtaim. The event also featured Major General Harb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Affairs, and Major General Saif Mahir Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations, alongside several officers and relevant staff.
Strategic Partnership with Al-Futtaim Group
The launch event coincided with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Dubai Police and Al-Futtaim Group, signed by Major General Saif Mahir Al Mazrouei and Youssef Al Raisi, Director of Government Affairs at the group. This agreement aims to develop the second generation of “Ghayath” patrols using hybrid “DENZA B8” vehicles that combine technological innovation with environmental efficiency. These new patrols will enhance response times and significantly increase the efficiency of field operations.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri emphasized the importance of Dubai Police’s reliance on modern technology, noting that the partnership with Al-Futtaim Group and BYD supports the implementation of Dubai’s vision regarding the development of the second generation of “Ghayath” smart patrols. This collaboration enhances Dubai Police’s capacity to perform its security duties effectively.
