The Dubai Press Club is preparing to launch the third edition of the “Arabic Podcast Program,” an initiative designed to enhance the Arabic podcasting industry. This program aims to equip young talents with essential professional, creative, and technical skills for producing high-quality audio and visual content. In collaboration with leading digital platforms and specialized media companies, the program promises to deliver a transformative experience for aspiring podcasters.
Program Details and Courses
The Arabic Podcast Program will commence on July 13 at the Dubai Press Club and will last for three weeks. A group of experts, trainers, and distinguished podcasters from the Arab world will participate, providing a comprehensive educational experience that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application. The program covers all stages of podcast production, from idea development to production, publishing, and marketing.
The Importance of the Program for the Media Sector
In her statement, Mona Ghanem Al Merri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Chairwoman of the Dubai Press Club, emphasized that the Arabic Podcast Program embodies the ambitious vision of the leadership in promoting media as a key component in building the future. She noted that the program aims to encourage the production of meaningful and creative Arabic content that meets the aspirations of the audience in a modern and effective language.
Opportunities and Participation
Mariam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, explained that the third edition builds on previous achievements, offering more specialized training content that addresses the growing needs of content creators. She confirmed that the program is intended for youth aged 18 to 35 residing in the UAE, with a requirement to have a clear vision for a podcast project they wish to develop during the program.
Educational Path and Project Evaluation
The program includes three main educational phases, focusing on identity building, idea development, and production techniques. Upon completion of the course, the completed projects will enter an evaluation phase before a panel of experts in August, with winners announced during the official graduation ceremony at “Podfest Dubai 2026” as part of the Arab Media Summit in September.
The third edition of the Arabic Podcast Program reflects the ongoing success of previous sessions, which have empowered a new generation of content creators and motivated them to transform their ideas into professional projects. It also aims to enhance the use of modern technologies in audio and visual production, allowing participants to benefit from global best practices.
