The Dubai Chambers have announced the launch of a new category, “AI Assistant,” as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award. This initiative aims to recognise private sector companies based in Dubai that excel in the practical and responsible application of assistant AI technologies, delivering tangible results for their operations.
Acknowledging Excellence in AI Utilisation
The award will honour the winning company for its leadership in adopting AI technologies, developing their applications, and demonstrating notable impacts on its business performance. Companies from various sectors operating in Dubai will be eligible to compete in this newly introduced category.
A Step Towards AI Transformation
The Dubai Chambers highlighted that this initiative aligns with the programme for transitioning the private sector towards assistant AI in the Emirate of Dubai. This programme is overseen by the Chambers, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Empowering Competitive Business Practices
Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Chambers, stated, “Assistant AI serves as a fundamental pillar in enhancing the competitiveness of the business sector and in developing its innovation capabilities to seize growth opportunities. We are committed to enabling the private sector to responsibly and effectively employ these technologies, contributing to increased productivity, improved business models, and achieving sustainable economic value.” He also noted that excellence awards play a pivotal role in nurturing a culture of innovation, showcasing successful experiences, and encouraging companies to adopt best practices, all of which support Dubai’s position as a global hub for business and digital economy.
Inspiring Future Innovations
The “AI Assistant” category of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award seeks to recognise companies that put forward outstanding models for utilising these technologies, translating their potential into concrete results. The goal is to highlight their experiences as sources of inspiration for the business community, encouraging more companies to develop innovative applications that support their growth, enhance performance, and prepare the private sector for future opportunities.
Optimal Use of AI Technologies
This new category emphasises the optimal utilisation of assistant AI applications, enabling systems to perform tasks, coordinate workflows, and support decision-making with a degree of autonomy, all while adhering to suitable human oversight, cybersecurity measures, and governance protocols.
