The UAE is strengthening its diplomatic ties with Belgium following the recent presentation of credentials by His Excellency Riek Van Drogenbroeck, the newly appointed Ambassador of Belgium to the United Arab Emirates. His Excellency Saif Abdullah Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs, officially received a copy of the ambassador’s credentials during a formal meeting.

In his remarks, Al Shamsi extended his best wishes to the new ambassador, expressing confidence in his ability to successfully fulfil his duties. He emphasised the UAE’s commitment to expanding the horizons of cooperation with Belgium, aimed at enhancing mutual interests between the two friendly nations.
Ambassador Van Drogenbroeck acknowledged the esteemed regional and international standing of the UAE, which he attributed to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. He conveyed his eagerness to work towards furthering the relationships between the two countries across various sectors.
