BEEAH Prepares to Unveil Innovative UAE Development Soon

In an exciting development for the UAE’s real estate landscape, Sharjah’s BEEAH is set to announce a transformative project in the coming weeks, marking a significant foray into the property sector. Group CEO Khaled Al Huraimel describes this forthcoming initiative as one that will “redefine what’s possible in regional real estate.” With the local property market experiencing a notable upswing, this exclusive reveal from BEEAH promises to both captivate and elevate expectations around sustainable urban development in the region.

BEEAH’s Strategic Move into Real Estate

Originating as a waste management firm, BEEAH has diversified significantly since its inception 17 years ago. The company’s expansion into real estate coincides with Sharjah’s ongoing economic diversification efforts and its ambitious targets for sustainability. Real estate transactions in Sharjah surged by 31.9 percent in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year, underscoring the market’s growth potential.

Al Huraimel indicated that this venture represents a logical transition for BEEAH. The company has successfully branched out into clean energy, technology, and healthcare, and now aims to harness its extensive experience in sustainability for its upcoming real estate projects. “Real estate development is a natural evolution for us,” he noted, emphasizing the goal of enhancing quality of life through forward-thinking urban design.

While specific details of the project remain confidential, Nada Taryam, BEEAH’s CEO of Real Estate, revealed that the company will soon launch “a first-of-its-kind project in the region.” This endeavor aims to incorporate state-of-the-art AI-powered building management systems that optimize energy efficiency based on occupancy and time of day, setting a benchmark for sustainable living.

The Vision Behind BEEAH’s Development

The new development is designed not merely to replicate existing models but to carve out an “entirely new niche” in the market. “The goal is not to reproduce existing models but to create an entirely new niche,” Al Huraimel explained. This reflects BEEAH’s commitment to leading the charge in raising expectations for ecological living within the real estate sector. The project will synthesize technologies and knowledge drawn from BEEAH’s diverse portfolio, which has evolved from managing a single landfill to operating cutting-edge waste-to-energy plants across the region.

The company now acts as a pioneer in various domains, including environmental management and technology innovation, and is poised to extend its influence into real estate. Al Huraimel stated that by venturing into real estate development, BEEAH is getting closer to its mission of fostering a sustainable quality of life for communities.

Focus on Collaboration and Future Expansion

Central to BEEAH’s strategy is the emphasis on collaboration, which has been pivotal in its previous successes. The company’s healthcare initiatives, including the Jawaher Boston Medical District, are excellent examples where expertise from established U.S. institutions has been successfully integrated. “Partnerships have been essential to BEEAH’s success across every sector,” Al Huraimel added, highlighting that engagement with experts in architecture, engineering, and smart systems will be crucial as they embark on this real estate journey.

The upcoming developments promise a robust integration of smart technologies. For instance, the Sharjah Waste-to-Energy plant, developed in partnership with Masdar, generates enough low-carbon electricity for approximately 60,000 homes. BEEAH is also working on the region’s first commercial-scale hydrogen-from-waste facility and Sharjah’s inaugural Tier 3 data center in collaboration with Khazna Data Centres, both significant strides toward sustainability.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH Group

Taryam elaborated on the vision for BEEAH’s developments, emphasizing a commitment to creating integrated, intelligent spaces that cater to current and future needs. She highlighted the importance of sustainable design in enhancing community interactions, drawing on experiences from past initiatives like the BEEAH headquarters and the Sharjah Creative Quarter.

As BEEAH sets its sights on both local and international markets, the organization hopes to create a replicable model for sustainable urban living. “We are open to working with like-minded partners to take our real estate model to other regions,” Al Huraimel noted, indicating plans to expand beyond the UAE.

Ultimately, BEEAH aims to craft sustainable, smart cities that harmoniously integrate nature and innovation. Taryam encapsulated this ethos, stating, “Our vision is to build sustainable, smart cities of the future — places that incorporate sustainability and innovation where people can experience exceptional living in harmony with nature.” This forward-looking approach aims to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
