In a dynamic move for the nation’s health sector, Saudi start-ups are increasingly participating in the Kingdom-wide fitness drive, showcasing innovative solutions tailored for sports and physical well-being. Recently, Amplifai Health emerged victorious in the inaugural ASICS Innovation Pitch, a competition aimed at propelling digital advancements in fitness and physical activity. This event highlights the burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit within Saudi Arabia‘s fitness landscape, where fresh ideas and technology converge to promote a healthier lifestyle.
Details of the Innovation Pitch
The ASICS Innovation Pitch took place in Riyadh on October 30, organized by the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) in collaboration with the globally recognized sportswear brand, ASICS. This competition served as a platform for start-ups to present their novel ideas and solutions, paving the way for a thriving fitness culture across the Kingdom.
Outstanding Performers
Amplifai Health claimed the top spot, while Harwalah Fit and Fitness Storm took second and third places, respectively. The winners received cash prizes ranging from SAR 5,000 to SAR 20,000, along with exciting opportunities to engage in potential collaboration and investment through ASICS Ventures. This recognition not only affirms the innovative capabilities of these start-ups but also encourages further developments in the fitness and health sectors.
Diverse Innovations on Display
Earlier this year, six Saudi-based start-ups were selected to compete, each showcasing digital innovations in areas such as wearable health analytics, community fitness engagement, and smart hydration technologies. These solutions reflect a growing trend towards integrating technology in fitness, aimed at enhancing the overall physical activity of the populace.
Expert Evaluation and Future Endeavors
The final pitches were assessed by a diverse panel of eight experts, which included senior representatives from ASICS and the SFA, alongside others from the expansive sports-tech community. The event attracted notable attendees, including Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, President of the SFA, and HE Fumio Iwai, the Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
Launched in mid-2025, the ASICS Innovation Pitch aligns seamlessly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Its aim is to enhance physical activity levels nationwide and cultivate a sustainable sports economy. The triumphant start-ups will now collaborate with SFA and ASICS to develop pilot programs that will bring their innovative solutions to the market, thus potentially expanding their positive impact across the Kingdom.
