In a significant affirmation of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to enhancing quality of life, the “Livex 2026” exhibition has established the emirate as a global hub for governments, investors, business leaders, and experts. The event brought together these parties under a shared goal of transforming aspirations for quality of life into tangible projects that prioritise human development and bolster the competitiveness and appeal of Abu Dhabi as a place to live, work, and invest.
Mohammed Ali Al Shorfa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, expressed his gratitude to the leadership for their ongoing support and vision, which places human quality of life at the core of comprehensive development in Abu Dhabi. This support is fundamental in the continued development of more prosperous and sustainable cities and communities. In his remarks at the close of the exhibition, he noted that the agreements and investment announcements made over the three days of the event underscore Abu Dhabi’s capability to connect global expertise and ideas with investment opportunities and long-term commitments, translating them into practical outcomes that benefit the community.

“We will work to transfer the Livex experience as a global dialogue platform regarding the future of cities, facilitating the exchange of successful practices, testing new ideas, and contributing to the development of the quality of life concept and its implementation on an international level,” he added.
The “Livex 2026” exhibition attracted approximately 26,500 visitors from 50 countries and saw participation from over 1,500 investors, showcasing the exhibition’s international stature and its role in uniting stakeholders interested in the future of quality of life and investment within a single platform in Abu Dhabi. During the event, more than 50 agreements and initiatives were announced, surpassing a combined value of 150 billion dirhams.
Among the highlights, the Department launched the “Mussafah Innovation Zone”, a new destination for industrial investment, business, and innovation. Additionally, the second phase of the inter-island road project in the emirate was unveiled, revealing plans for a 14.5-kilometre expressway linking the central islands of Abu Dhabi to the E10 road and Khalifa City.
Furthermore, the Department introduced the “Investment Opportunities Gateway” for government assets, a central platform enabling investors to identify and assess investment opportunities related to government-owned lands and properties. This initiative is part of a broader portfolio that includes committed investments in infrastructure valued at 450 billion dirhams, being executed throughout Abu Dhabi.
