Abu Dhabi Ports Collaborates to Boost Cross-Border E-Commerce

In a significant move aimed at enhancing electronic trade across borders, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group has announced a strategic partnership with Crevia Holding Limited and IRH Global Trading. This collaboration is set to merge logistics infrastructure and digital commerce capabilities with commercial payment solutions, thereby accelerating the growth of e-commerce in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. As the global electronic device and mobile phone market surpasses $36 billion annually, this initiative is projected to facilitate over $12 billion in trade and the import of approximately 64 million electronic devices over the next three years.

Key Details of the Partnership

The agreement focuses on fortifying the import, export, financing, storage, and transportation processes of mobile devices and electronic products. This will contribute to establishing Abu Dhabi as a global hub for this vital sector by enhancing operational efficiencies, ensuring transparency, and expanding the business network. The initiative will also support the establishment of around 650 new companies in the KIZAD area, further energizing the region’s economic landscape.

The Role of MobyIX

At the core of this project lies the MobyIX platform, a dedicated digital marketplace designed for business-to-business transactions in the international market. MobyIX aims to streamline the buying, selling, financing, and transportation of smartphones and electronics. Furthermore, the partnership will explore integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies into the logistics and digital infrastructure of Abu Dhabi Ports, a move that aims to bolster industry growth. This program will be underpinned by trade financing solutions and liquidity from IRH Global Trading, enabling traders to expand efficiently into new markets.
