In an innovative move aimed at enhancing the travel experience to Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways announced the launch of free medical insurance for all international travelers choosing to fly to Abu Dhabi on its flights, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to meet the increasing demand for travel and enhance hospitality in the emirate.
Insurance Details and Services
Etihad Airways, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, announced the provision of free medical insurance from “Daman” for all international guests traveling to Abu Dhabi. This insurance, effective from July to December 2026, aims to provide a high level of comfort and safety for visitors, covering guests for up to 15 days upon arrival in the UAE.
The coverage is automatically granted with every eligible ticket purchased from Etihad Airways, meaning guests will not need to submit any applications. Additionally, the insurance includes visitors who utilize Etihad Airways’ free stopover program, making it easier for them to enjoy Abu Dhabi’s attractions during their stay.

With the rising number of visitors heading to Abu Dhabi, this initiative is part of Etihad Airways and the Department of Culture and Tourism’s commitment to enhancing the visitor experience. His Excellency Saleh Mohammed Al Geziry, Director General of Tourism in Abu Dhabi, stated that this step reflects their commitment to providing an exceptional and comprehensive experience for visitors, starting from the moment of ticket booking to arrival at their destination.
