Under the patronage of Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed and in the presence of Khalid bin Zayed, Abu Dhabi is set to celebrate the announcement of the winners of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Inclusion of People of Determination, a prominent event taking place next week. This event embodies the emirate’s commitment to promoting awareness and best practices in the field of inclusion for people of determination.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Department of Community Development will announce the winners of the first edition of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Inclusion of People of Determination, which will take place next Tuesday. This coincides with the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for People of Determination and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, along with a group of ministers and senior local and international officials specializing in the fields of empowerment and inclusion for people of determination.
The event will feature a series of discussions and interactive presentations that highlight established best practices in the inclusion of people of determination. Innovative experiences will be showcased that resonate with the real challenges faced by people of determination. Additionally, an exhibition of success stories reflecting community empowerment initiatives will be held, along with a special musical performance by people of determination, complete with sign language translation services and displays of important statistics regarding efforts in this field.
The Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Inclusion of People of Determination aims to celebrate outstanding institutional efforts that contribute to promoting a culture of inclusion and equal opportunities. Its goal is to create inclusive and empowering environments for people of determination across all sectors. The award is part of Abu Dhabi’s vision to build a sustainable and supportive community, based on the adopted strategy for people of determination. This strategy represents a comprehensive framework for improving the quality of life for people of determination and their families, focusing on inclusive services in health, education, tourism, and entertainment, as well as quality employment and accessibility.
In the first edition of the award, 372 submissions were received from various institutions, government entities, private sector organizations, and the third sector, indicating a widespread commitment to the concepts of inclusion and growing efforts towards developing more supportive and sustainable services and environments for people of determination. This success reflects collective aspirations to enhance community interaction and work towards an inclusive future for all.
