His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who fell as a result of the Iranian terrorist attacks. Among the victims were Alaa Nader Aouni from Palestine, Murib Zaman Nizar, Muzaffar Ali Ghulam, and Ismail Saleem Khan from Pakistan, Ahmed Ali Shobar Ali from Bangladesh, and Deepas Shrestha from Nepal. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant them mercy and to provide a swift recovery to the injured.
Strong Condemnation of the Attacks
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed condemned, in the strongest terms, the ongoing Iranian attacks, which have continued for 18 days, involving over 2,000 missiles and drones. These attacks targeted vital civilian facilities, airports, and residential areas, representing a significant escalation that violates the sovereignty of the state and threatens regional and international security. He affirmed that the UAE categorically condemns this ongoing escalation.
International Community’s Stance
The Iranian attacks received strong condemnation from the international community through Security Council Resolution 2817, co-sponsored by 136 member states of the United Nations. The resolution demands that Iran immediately cease these attacks and affirms its full responsibility for all damages inflicted on the affected countries. This international support highlights the importance of partnerships in promoting security and peace in the region.
UAE’s Readiness to Respond and Protect Security
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed stated that the UAE retains its full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and security. He affirmed that the relevant authorities in the country are prepared to address any threats, noting the stability of the security situation in the country and its complete readiness to ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. He also expressed his appreciation for the support from more than 130 countries, which underscores the international community’s confidence in the UAE’s ability to effectively address challenges.
