Outstanding Leadership in Aviation
In a statement shared on his account on the X platform, Sheikh Hamdan commended Sheikh Ahmed for spearheading the sector through the Dubai-it approach, which has led to remarkable growth. Under Sheikh Ahmed’s leadership, the Emirates fleet has expanded by an astounding 139 times, while the network of destinations has seen a 76-fold increase. Additionally, flydubai has experienced significant growth, and Dubai International Airport welcomed a record-breaking 95.2 million passengers in one year, achieving a world record for international travellers.
Defining Dubai-it Through Aviation Success
“To understand the meaning of Dubai-it, one only needs to look at the aviation sector in Dubai,” said Sheikh Hamdan. He highlighted the transformation from humble beginnings with sandy runways and two leased aircraft to a comprehensive global aviation system. Sheikh Hamdan expressed pride in Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed and his dedicated team for their significant achievements in the industry.
