Emirates Airline concluded its participation in the Arab Travel Market 2026 with the signing of over 30 agreements and partnerships. These collaborations involved tourism bodies from 16 countries, alongside institutions and partners representing new customer segments, communities, and markets. This strategy significantly enhances the airline’s presence in the global travel market and bolsters tourism to its destinations.
Innovative Seating Experience
One of the standout attractions at the airline’s pavilion was the first fully electric seat for premium economy class. This innovative seat was showcased to the public for the first time during the exhibition, allowing thousands of visitors to experience its comfort and privacy features firsthand. Among its many enhancements are a fully-height electric privacy screen, wireless charging, USB-C ports, and a 4K entertainment screen. This initiative forms part of Emirates’ ongoing investment in enhancing the passenger experience.
Showcasing Cabin Services
Visitors to the Emirates stand were also able to experience a range of the airline’s offerings, including the shower spa and the onboard lounge on Airbus A380 aircraft, as well as the first-class ‘Game Changer’ suite on Boeing 777 planes. Additionally, the business and economy class seats on the newly outfitted Airbus A350 jets, which feature the ‘U-Dream’ headrest, were also displayed.
Strategic Tourism Partnerships
On the tourism front, Emirates Airline signed and renewed agreements with various tourism authorities across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the UAE. These agreements aim to enhance the visibility of targeted destinations in tourist-originating markets while converting demand into actual travel. In Africa, the new partnerships included engagements with Kenya’s tourism board and the Mozambique National Tourism and Investment Agency, alongside renewed collaboration with Madagascar’s Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.
Expanding European Connections
In Europe, Emirates established new agreements with ‘Visit Finland’ ahead of its flight launch to Helsinki on October 1, alongside partnerships with ‘Fjord Norway,’ ‘Bologna Welcome,’ and ‘Parma Welcome.’ Additionally, Emirates Holidays fostered a partnership with the Spanish tourism office.
Diverse Collaborations Across Asia
The airline’s partnerships also extended to Southeast Asia, engaging with tourism boards from Malaysia, Japan, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Seychelles, and Mauritius. Emirates renewed its cooperation with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and signed a new agreement with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
Growing Beyond Traditional Sectors
Emirates’ collaborative efforts went beyond conventional tourism and business sectors, delving into education, medical tourism and wellness, sports, and maritime crew travel. In the education sector, the airline partnered with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai and signed a deal with ‘ICEF’ to promote international educational travel opportunities.
Healthcare and Entertainment Initiatives
The airline also forged an agreement with the Medical Tourism Association and teamed up with ‘Cutting Edge’ to develop travel packages for sports fans attending global events, such as cricket, football, motorsports, golf, and tennis.
Maritime Mobility and Technology Collaborations
Emirates bolstered its position in the maritime travel sector with agreements with ‘Cisalpina Tours International’ and ‘MSC Cruises’ to provide crew change flights, promotional fares, and additional luggage allowances. The airline expanded its partnerships with Finnish and Vietnamese business communities and companies in technology, retail, and financial services.
Strengthening Alliances and Winning Awards
The airline also enhanced its partnership with Kuwait Airways, transforming the existing air connectivity deal into a reciprocal code-sharing agreement to boost travel options between their networks. During the exhibition, Emirates received four awards at the 2026 World Travel Awards for the best airline in the Middle East in first class, best airline brand, best first class lounge, and best loyalty programme. Additionally, it garnered a prize for the best long-haul airline at the 2026 Independent Travel Awards and was awarded the ‘Golden Trip’ for travel within the UAE.
This participation emphasises Emirates Airline’s commitment to expanding its passenger base, diversifying demand sources, and enhancing global connectivity, all while travel is recovering. Currently, the airline operates approximately 93% of its pre-disruption operational capacity, supporting the growth of the tourism and aviation sectors in Dubai.
