Dubai (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has affirmed that the UAE, under the vision and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, is confidently navigating transformations while continuing its developmental journey. The UAE’s approach is firmly rooted in investing in its people to achieve sustainable prosperity.
Keynote Address at AIM Summit
This statement was made during His Highness’s keynote speech at the opening of the fifteenth edition of the AIM Investment Summit held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The summit is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Public Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade. The event also welcomed numerous state guests, leaders, ministers, senior officials, investors, policymakers, and innovators from within the UAE and abroad.
Rapid Development in the UAE
In his address, Sheikh Saud highlighted the rapid development witnessed by the UAE in recent years, along with Ras Al Khaimah’s advancement, which has solidified its status as a preferred destination for investors worldwide. He stated, “Economies that adapt to changes, embrace innovation, and invest in people are the most capable of achieving sustainable prosperity.” He emphasised that this principle is deeply ingrained in the UAE’s journey.
Recalling the vision of the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, he remarked, “Over five decades since the establishment of our federation, this principle remains fundamental to our path. Today, guided by the vision and leadership of my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we continue this journey with confidence.” He underscored that while financial resources can propel growth, human capital is the true wealth of the nation.
Diverse Economic Aspirations
Sheikh Saud expressed Ras Al Khaimah’s ambition to create a sustainable economic impact through a diversified economy characterised by resilience and rooted in innovation and sustainability. “Our experience has taught us that investors seek stability and transparency, reliable institutions, and partners who honour their commitments. This is the environment we have worked hard to establish in Ras Al Khaimah, in line with the UAE’s aspirations and directions,” he added.
He further stated, “The value of investment is not measured solely by the size of capital, but by its impact on people’s lives.” The true essence of investment, innovation, and economic growth is reflected in the quality of life it enhances, the opportunities it creates, and the strength and cohesion it brings to communities.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
On the sidelines of the summit, Sheikh Saud met with Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, India, accompanied by Dr. Deepak Mittal, the Indian Ambassador to the UAE. They discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and investment opportunities to support mutual interests across various sectors.
Exploring Exhibitions and Participation
Sheikh Saud also toured the exhibition wings accompanying the summit, visiting Ras Al Khaimah’s pavilion, which features several local entities including the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ras Al Khaimah National Bank, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones (RAKEZ), Ras Al Khaimah Real Estate, the Innovation City, Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, and the Marjan Group.
The AIM Investment Summit will continue for three days, with expectations to attract more than 15,000 participants from over 180 countries, including a number of heads of state and ministers.
