Exciting Performances in Al Ain Camel Festival
The second preliminary race of the Al Ain Camel Festival 2026 continued today at the Al Rawda field in the Al Ain region, featuring intense competition among the camels belonging to various tribal owners. The races focused on the **four-kilometre distance** in the “Thaniya” category, comprising a total of **20 heats**.
Leading the pack, **Nor**, owned by Mohammed Eid Al Ghabshi Al Ameri, topped the first heat with a time of **6:28:66 minutes**. Following closely, **Ghazi**, owned by Mohammed Khatem Bin Mohammed Al Shamsi, claimed victory in the second heat, achieving the best overall time of the day with an impressive **6:18:53 minutes**.
Multiple Victories Across the Heats
The competition continued to showcase remarkable performances. In the third heat, **Sukoon**, owned by Mohammed Atiq Al Maqdoudi Al Falasi, was crowned the winner. Success also followed Al Maqdoudi with his camel **Iqtihaas**, which secured the title in the fourth heat. Meanwhile, in the fifth heat, **Al Durrah**, belonging to Saif Mohammed Bin Saif Al Aryani, took home the first place trophy.
The sixth heat saw **Dawlah**, owned by Sultan Ali Bin Sultan Salem Al Ketbi, rising to victory, while **Al Abour**, owned by Mohammed Sultan Bin Saeed Al Maliki, triumphed in the seventh heat. **Al Mushook**, owned by Sultan Hamad Mattar Bin Omeira Al Shamsi, dominated the eighth heat, and **Diyaa**, owned by Nail Rashid Bin Saif Al Naiyali Al Shamsi, captured the ninth heat with a time of **6:23:33 minutes**. The tenth heat was also a success for the same owner with camel **Wad**, which took the win.
Continuing the Streak of Champions
**Mu’azzaz**, owned by Saeed Khalfan Bin Hamad Al Hafri, clinched the eleventh heat crown, followed by **Matarah** from Nail Rashid Bin Saif Al Naiyali Al Shamsi winning the twelfth heat. The thirteenth heat was won by **Qiyadah**, owned by Mohammed Atiq Bin Shamis Al Ameri, while **Saiyib**, owned by Matar Jumaa Bin Matar Al Khaili, celebrated success in the fourteenth heat.
The latter heats also produced riveting results: **Al Tayyar**, belonging to Abdullah Saeed Bin Khaid Al Ketbi, won the fifteenth heat with a time of **6:34:73 minutes**. The sixteenth heat was claimed by **Eddamli**, owned by Mohammed Ahmed Bin Khaza Al Harky Al Ameri, with a time of **6:21:55 minutes**, and **Ghaziah**, owned by Mahfouz Khamis Bin Ali Al Junaibi, took the seventeenth heat.
In the eighteenth heat, **Hamloul**, owned by Shams Yahya Ali Al Menhali, seized victory, while **Al Shahiniyah**, belonging to Khalifa Bin Abdullah Al Atiyah, won the nineteenth heat. The morning’s competitions concluded with a victory for **Shaheen**, owned by Bakhit Hamad Bil Aoud Al Ameri, in the twentieth heat.
