New Maritime Link Opens Between Shenzhen and Khor Fakkan

Recently, a roll-on/roll-off vessel embarked from the Xiaomoh International Logistics Port in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, South China, carrying 6,068 electric vehicles manufactured by the Chinese automotive company BYD. This marked the inauguration of a new maritime shipping route linking Shenzhen to the Port of Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates.

A Milestone in Vehicle Shipping

This shipment has set a new record at Xiaomoh Port, representing the largest volume of vehicle shipping in a single operation. The establishment of this shipping route provides an essential logistical solution for Chinese exports to the Middle East, particularly aiding in the mitigation of shipment fluctuations often encountered during the transportation of vehicles and large equipment.

Significant Time Reduction

The new maritime line significantly shortens transport times between the two locations, reducing the delivery period to approximately 3 to 5 days. This enhanced efficiency is expected to facilitate smoother trade operations and strengthen economic ties between China and the UAE.

Expanded Shipping Network

Since its opening in late 2021, Xiaomoh Port has successfully operated 12 vehicle transport lines connecting to regions including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Europe, South America, Australia, and Africa. This expansion underscores the port’s growing significance in the global logistics landscape.
