The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has said it has processed 20,255 recognition requests through its automatic recognition initiative for higher education qualifications inside the UAE, as the scheme continues to expand and streamline services for graduates.
The ministry added that the number of higher education institutions included in the initiative has risen to 41, after eight new institutions were added over the past few months. The development reflects a broader push to widen proactive services, improve the user experience and speed up procedures.
Faster recognition for graduates
The ministry said the automatic recognition initiative is designed to give graduates a simpler and quicker experience by enabling them to obtain recognition for their qualifications automatically after graduation, without the need for additional steps.
It added that the initiative helps accelerate and simplify the attestation of academic documents, while also advancing more efficient digital services that improve customer experience and reduce manual intervention in service delivery.
Part of efforts to reduce bureaucracy
The expansion also forms part of the ministry’s work to support the government’s zero-bureaucracy programme through the automation of services.
The ministry confirmed that higher education institutions inside the country meet the requirements for joining the initiative.
