Sharjah Heritage Institute, through the Arab Heritage Centre, has launched the fifth edition of the Al Rawi Summer Camp 2026, bringing children together on Monday morning for a programme that combines learning, entertainment and heritage in an engaging environment.
The camp has been designed to support the development of the younger generation through a varied schedule of activities. According to Moza Bouhussain Al Yassi, supervisor of the Al Rawi Summer Camp, the journey begins with introducing children to Emirati san‘a and the authentic values of local society, before moving on to the “Little Narrator” workshop, which aims to nurture a love of reading and broaden their imagination.
A programme built around skills and heritage
Al Yassi told Sharjah 24 that participants take part in a range of experiences and activities that help build life skills, alongside environmental awareness initiatives. The camp also includes spaces dedicated to arts and handicrafts, giving children the opportunity to express their creativity.
The experience concludes with an introduction to local heritage through traditional games presented in an enjoyable, interactive and engaging way.
Invitation to families
Al Yassi called on parents and families to enrol their children so they can benefit from the summer activities and events offered by the camp, which continues until 30 July.
