Khalifa Fund Champions 13 Companies at Liwa Dates Festival

Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development is taking part in the 22nd edition of the Liwa Dates Festival, which runs from 14 to 23 July in Liwa City in the Al Dhafra Region, organised by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.

Through this year’s participation, the fund is supporting 13 Emirati small and medium-sized enterprises across a range of sectors, including artificial intelligence, creative industries, fashion, manufacturing, food and beverages, and retail. The line-up reflects the diversity of the UAE’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and the ability of national projects to use innovation to preserve Emirati identity while turning it into value-added products and services.

A platform for innovation and heritage

The Khalifa Fund pavilion at the festival brings together businesses that combine tradition with modern ideas, giving visitors the chance to discover Emirati products and explore examples of national projects shaped by both heritage and innovation.

Among the participating companies are Nuwa Hub, which specialises in artificial intelligence solutions and innovation, NEXBA Healthcare Supplies, which manufactures personal care products using green nanotechnology, KWACHI Fashion, which designs Emirati fashion, and MZS Heritage Designs, which offers creative designs and products inspired by heritage.

Food, retail and other participating businesses

The list of participants also includes food and beverage ventures such as Maison Aliza, which presents Emirati cuisine with a contemporary touch, Saraya Al Dhafra for local dishes, Gentle Bite for healthy meals, H Almughairah Bakery for baked goods and sweets, and AYA Café for speciality coffee and drinks inspired by Emirati heritage.

Other participating projects include MSYAN in retail, Unique Signature in perfume trading, ABK Photography in photography services, and Maiza Textile in clothing and textiles.

Supporting growth and market access

The pavilion gives entrepreneurs a venue to showcase their products, connect with visitors and build new relationships and partnerships. This, in turn, helps strengthen their access to markets and opens up new opportunities for growth and expansion.
