The concept of “Tawazun” as a strategic enabler for national defense industries at Eurosatory highlights the critical role played by the Tawazun Council for Defense Empowerment in strengthening national defense capabilities. As one of the most renowned global exhibitions focused on defense, Eurosatory 2026, scheduled to take place in Paris from June 15 to 19, 2026, provides an invaluable platform for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange among industry leaders and governmental entities.
The Tawazun Council for Defense Empowerment is strategically positioned to enhance the national defense and security framework, participating in Eurosatory 2026. This major event, held in the French capital, carries the theme “Anticipating Defense and Security Challenges” and brings together top industry specialists, offering exceptional opportunities for knowledge and experience exchange.
The council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and with the support of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), continues its efforts to empower national companies to strengthen their presence under a unified national umbrella. This model opens new horizons for cooperation with international partners, contributing to building quality partnerships and transferring modern knowledge and technologies. Through these initiatives, the council enhances the readiness of the national defense industry to meet future challenges.
The council’s delegation includes prominent figures such as Matar Ali Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Planning and Procurement Department, and Sherif Hashem Al Hashimi, Director General of the Industrial Development Department. The delegation also features Majid Ahmed Al Jabri, Executive Director of the Economic Balance Program Sector, and Majid Saif Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Research and Development Sector. The Planning and Procurement Department focuses its efforts on supporting defense acquisition pathways and building the necessary partnerships to enhance future capabilities. At the same time, the Industrial Development Department explores growth opportunities within the industry and strengthens local value chains. Participation in Eurosatory 2026 presents an opportunity for bilateral meetings and discussions with governmental institutions and European and global defense companies, facilitating the exchange of ideas and exploration of new areas for collaboration.
As Sherif Hashem Al Hashimi, Director General of the Industrial Development Department at the Tawazun Council for Defense Empowerment, noted: “The global defense and security sector is undergoing rapid transformations that are reshaping concepts of readiness, capability, and competitiveness.” He emphasized the necessity of continuous investment in building national capacities and enhancing integration between industry, technology, and innovation.
