Saudi Arabia Showcases Innovative Real Estate Projects at Expo Real Munich

Saudi Arabia is set to showcase multibillion-dollar real estate opportunities at Expo Real in Munich, scheduled for October 6 to 8, 2025. This presentation comes at a crucial time, just before a new foreign ownership law is set to take effect, marking a significant shift in how international investors can participate in the kingdom’s booming real estate market.

Invest Saudi will return to Expo Real as the Kingdom accelerates its ambitious real estate transformation under Vision 2030. The initiative aims to strengthen foreign direct investment by engaging with the global real estate community and presenting a robust lineup of opportunities.

Key Participants in Saudi Real Estate

The delegation at Expo Real will feature prominent entities, including the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) and Diriyah Company. Additionally, this year marks the debut of Smart Accommodation for Residential Complexes Company (SARCC) and Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, both eager to highlight their unique offerings in the evolving market.

Invest Saudi’s involvement is particularly timely, as it comes just months before the implementation of the new Law of Real Estate Ownership in January. This landmark legislation allows foreign individuals and businesses to buy residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural properties in designated zones, thus expanding access to a diverse group of global investors.

Vision 2030 and Its Impact on Real Estate Demand

The Vision 2030 initiative includes an expansive construction program aimed at delivering 2.5 million new homes along with various large-scale tourism, hospitality, and commercial developments. This ambitious agenda is further fueled by major upcoming global events such as Riyadh Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034, which are driving substantial demand for real estate in the region.

Last year, nearly 100 meetings were held between international stakeholders and the Kingdom’s representatives during Expo Real, illustrating a keen interest in the opportunities available. Fahad Al Hashem, Deputy Assistant Minister of Investment Development at the Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia (MISA), noted the Kingdom’s commitment to redefining urban development through world-class projects.

A Shift Toward Investment Openness

Al Hashem remarked, “The updated law regarding non-Saudis owning property represents a significant shift towards greater investment openness. It has removed traditional restrictions that previously limited non-Saudis’ ability to own and benefit from properties within the Kingdom.” He elaborated that this expansion allows non-Saudis to acquire property rights through ownership or usufruct in specific geographic areas, opening the door to countless investment opportunities.

“Upcoming global events like Riyadh Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034 are boosting already unprecedented demand for real estate, creating a wealth of exciting opportunities for investors to become part of KSA’s future,” he added. “The new foreign ownership law is a landmark development set to further deepen investor appetite.”

To further engage investors, Invest Saudi will host a series of live seminars on October 6 and 7 at Expo Real, gathering government officials, industry experts, and thought leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of the Kingdom’s real estate sector.

In addition, Expo Real’s wider conference agenda will include a dedicated session focused on Saudi Arabia’s transforming real estate market, demonstrating the Kingdom’s commitment to creating a vibrant, investment-friendly environment as it moves closer to achieving Vision 2030.
