Today marks the commencement of the Infrastructure Summit in Abu Dhabi, where 7,000 infrastructure leaders gather to discuss urban development, housing, and integrated transport solutions. This three-day event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) brings together an impressive array of ministers, officials, and industry specialists, underscoring a collective commitment to enhancing execution efficiency and solidifying the emirate’s status as an attractive destination for investment and global partnerships. As infrastructure and energy systems evolve worldwide, the diverse range of partners showcases strong confidence in Abu Dhabi’s capability to transform aspirations into measurable results, gathering key decision-makers on a single platform dedicated to the future of infrastructure projects in the emirate.

Thematic Focus of the Summit

Under the banner “Urban Evolution: A New Vision for Cities, and a New Concept for Our Lives,” the summit aims to shift the dialogue towards actionable outcomes. It serves as a platform to integrate sector stakeholders and facilitate the sharing of practical experiences among executive leaders from partner institutions. This collective effort reflects a unified approach to not just meeting current needs but also anticipating future demands in urban infrastructure.

Strategic Partnerships at the Summit

According to Engineer Maysara Mahmoud Salem Eid, General Director of the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Center, “The Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit has partnered with entities that possess the capabilities, commitment, and expertise required to enhance the urban environment in Abu Dhabi and accelerate its growth.” This year’s event emphasizes not only traditional sectors but also emerging digital solutions that are reshaping urban infrastructure landscapes.

The summit also highlights the extensive housing projects currently under development across various regions of Abu Dhabi, which include over 15 residential projects providing more than 25,000 housing units tailored to meet citizen needs and aspirations. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office provides global investors with access to public-private partnership (PPP) opportunities, ensuring organized project execution and encouraging long-term private sector engagement. Etihad Rail, a partner in mobility, marks a significant focus on integrated transport infrastructure and the pivotal role it plays in shaping Abu Dhabi’s urban future.
