Zayed National Museum Celebrates World Environment Day with “Sustainable Experiences”
As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the Zayed National Museum organized a special event titled “Weekends at Zayed National Museum: World Environment Day,” which took place from the 5th to the 7th of this month. This occasion is part of the museum’s efforts to raise environmental awareness and open new horizons for sustainable practices, showcasing experiences that align with the heritage and cultural principles of the nation.
Diverse Activities Reflecting Environmental Values
During the celebrations, visitors had the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on activities that highlighted resilience and encouraged reflection on the principles that helped past generations thrive. The event “Zayed National Museum Forum: Coexisting with the Earth” offered everyone a unique experience through sound waves in the “Through Our Nature” exhibition hall, adding a new dimension to understanding the connection between culture and nature.
Workshops for Children and Families
The event also celebrated children and families through a series of innovative workshops. Recycled fabric was transformed into stuffed toys, and participants experienced unique printing techniques using old textiles and local flowers. Additionally, they prepared sweets made from layers of different types of honey, all in an atmosphere that combined fun and learning.
