Women’s Pavilion at Expo Dubai Celebrates Emirati Heritage on Their Day

In a celebration of the contributions of women in the UAE, the Women’s Pavilion at Expo City Dubai is set to host the “Her Country, Her Strength” programme on 27 August. This event is organised in honour of Emirati Women’s Day and aims to spotlight the inspiring journeys and accomplishments of women who are key players in various sectors.

Highlighting Women Leaders

The programme, organised in collaboration with Emirates NBD and sponsored by Damas Jewellery, will take place at the Tawasul Conference Centre in Expo City Dubai. It is expected to draw a diverse group of women leaders from critical fields—such as national defence, emergency services, health, education, community development, technology, and mental health. This gathering will underscore the impactful roles these women play in shaping a more inclusive and prosperous future for the UAE.

Celebrating Generational Connections

As the UAE embarks on the “Year of Family” in 2026, the programme will also explore the profound connections between generations, demonstrating how an integrated community system can foster societal solidarity. The event will feature sessions where Emirati women will share their experiences supporting and serving their communities, serving as a testament to their dedication and influence.

Inspiring Discussions

One of the main sessions, “Leadership in Challenging Times: Policies from Experience,” will showcase inspirational models presented by Emirati women who have laid the groundwork for institutional frameworks essential for resilience and tackling challenges. Notable speakers will include Dr. Aisha Al-Mamari, an emergency medicine and intensive care consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City; Iman Al-Omarani, Head of Digital Consulting at Amazon Web Services; and Nour Al-Jaziri, Vice President for Special Projects and the Middle East at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

Empowering Conversations

The second session will feature engaging discussions that highlight the roles of Emirati women in supporting families and institutions across various fields, contributing to national development and humanitarian efforts. Key participants in this session will include Samira Al-Wadi, Principal of the American School of Creative Science, Badour Al-Ruqbani, a prominent entrepreneur and community activist; and Asmaa Al-Masmarani, Assistant Director of Nursing at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

This programme aims not only to honour the achievements of these remarkable women but also to inspire future generations. The inclusive vision of the Women’s Pavilion continues to champion the incredible contributions of Emirati women, amplifying their stories and aspirations for a brighter future.
