The Sharjah Book Authority, in collaboration with the Sharjah Volunteering Centre, has announced the opening of registration for volunteers for the 45th Sharjah International Book Fair, which will take place from 4th to 15th November 2026 at Expo Centre Sharjah. The initiative aims to recruit 300 volunteers to assist in organising events and serving visitors, with registration remaining open until 25th October.
Individuals aged 18 and above are welcomed to join the volunteer programme, contributing to the support of organising teams and the smooth execution of event activities, as determined by the organising committee. This opportunity is particularly geared towards maintaining efficient operations throughout the event’s duration.
Participating as a volunteer provides a unique chance to be part of one of the region’s most significant cultural events and book fairs. Volunteers will gain first-hand experience in event organisation and audience management, acquiring practical skills and insights over the 12-day programme.
Volunteers will work in two shifts: the morning shift runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while the evening shift extends from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Additionally, the hours of volunteer service will be recorded through the Sharjah Volunteering Centre’s platform.
