In its efforts to empower students’ skills and enhance their creativity, Al Qasimia University has organized a series of innovative events recently. These activities, which varied between artistic creativity, personal development, and health awareness, provided a fruitful environment for students to express themselves through their creations, including crafts, bracelets, and colorful wooden items made by the students of Al Qasimia.
Multiple Activities to Enhance Artistic Creativity
As part of its training and educational programs, Al Qasimia University witnessed the involvement of several design students in a project to create the Al-Zaytouna platform in the city of Al Dhaid. This project aims to develop artistic skills in design and Islamic decoration, reflecting the university’s commitment to refining students’ creativity and competencies in this field.
Summer Workshops in Fine Arts
The university’s art studio launched summer courses in Arabic calligraphy and acrylic painting, supervised by a group of distinguished artists. These courses included training students in landscape painting and academic scenes, which helped enhance their aesthetic sense. Through these workshops, students had the opportunity to develop their creations, including crafts, bracelets, and colorful wooden items that amazed attendees with their quality.
Workshops in Handicrafts
Students also participated in two workshops titled “Colorful Woodcrafts” and “Bracelet Making Art.” During these events, female students learned techniques for painting on wood, metalworking, and jewelry making. These experiences encouraged the girls to produce unique artworks that reflect their creativity and explore a new world of traditional arts and crafts.
Stimulating the Spirit of Innovation
In an effort to promote innovation, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Emirates Creativity Association, organized an interactive workshop titled “Creativity and Innovation.” This workshop provided a valuable opportunity for students to express their ideas collectively and develop their creative skills. Through such activities, the groundwork was laid for discovering new talents and supporting innovative ideas that contribute to enhancing artistic and intellectual creativity.
Ahlam bin Gharsh, Assistant Director of Al Qasimia University for Female Students, emphasized the importance of these events in enhancing the educational and social message of the university. She pointed out that the diversity of programs contributes to achieving a balance between academic, psychological, and social development for students, supporting the university’s strategic plans to build a cultured and aware generation capable of effectively contributing to community development.
Ultimately, the crafts, bracelets, and colorful wooden items created by the students of Al Qasimia stand as a vivid example of how art and innovation can elevate ideas and talents to new levels of creativity.
