During the journey, His Highness expressed pride in the national projects and commended the team behind the Union Train, led by Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed. “The train is a key component of our vision to build an interconnected network that meets the demands of development,” he stated. He emphasized that the project reflects the spirit of the Union and supports the aspirations of its citizens, highlighting the country’s daily advancements in its future infrastructure.
His Highness praised this unique project, set to begin commercial operation in 2026. Moreover, he explained, “This strategic project embodies the spirit of cooperation and reflects the ambitions of our citizens, translating their commitment to enhancing the nation’s capabilities across all fields.” He acknowledged the substantial efforts of the large team behind this notable achievement, particularly highlighting Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s leadership. “We look forward to completing this national project with confidence and a clear vision for the future as we continue to lay the foundations of the Union,” he affirmed.
Describing his experience on social media, he said, “During my journey from Dubai to Fujairah aboard the Union Train, it will connect 11 cities and regions across the country from Al Salama to Fujairah, at a speed of 200 km/h.” With an expectation to transport 36 million passengers by 2030, the train’s operations are set to commence next year, marking a significant achievement for the UAE’s infrastructure.
On this occasion, Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed, Chairman of the Union Railways, expressed gratitude for the support of the wise leadership and the commitment to national projects that contribute to the UAE’s progress.
