Recently, the group imported over 5,000 tons of various perishable and non-perishable food items globally using 26 chartered flights and shipping vessels. He acknowledged the support from the wise leadership and governmental initiatives during these challenging times.

The visit revealed a range of promotions and discounts on essential consumer goods, such as rice, oils, eggs, dairy, and poultry. During these unprecedented times, specialized teams are deployed to ensure market monitoring, supported by the ministry’s electronic price surveillance system. This system covers 627 primary retail outlets, including cooperative societies, hypermarkets, and major stores, representing nearly 90% of the domestic market for essential consumer goods.
