Iran’s Ongoing Hostilities
Recently, Iran has continued its aggressive behaviors targeting nations in the Gulf region, including the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, using drones as a means of attack. The UAE’s Ministry of Defense reported active engagement with two drones originating from Iran just yesterday. Since the onset of these blatant Iranian assaults, the UAE’s air defense systems have intercepted an impressive total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 aircraft missiles, and 2,265 drones. Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries occurred during the most recent hours; however, the total number of casualties since these aggressive operations began stands at two martyrs, including a Moroccan civilian contractor working with the armed forces, alongside ten civilian deaths from various nationalities.
Reinforced Defense Readiness
The UAE’s Ministry of Defense has assertively stated that their forces remain vigilant and prepared to address any threats that could undermine the stability and security of the nation. This proactive approach ensures the preservation of the UAE’s sovereignty and the protection of its national interests amidst increasing regional tensions stemming from Iranian hostility.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its support for Qatar and emphasized the critical importance of maintaining maritime security in accordance with international law.

He remarked that Iran’s insidious approach systematically seeks to destabilize the region, contravening principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the Council’s full support for both nations in their endeavors to maintain security and protect their citizens.
In an additional statement, Egypt condemned the attack on the commercial vessel near Qatar, characterizing it as a serious breach of international law and a perilous escalation that threatens global trade and maritime safety. Egypt expressed its unwavering support for Qatar’s measures to safeguard its sovereignty and asserted the importance of addressing the repercussions of ongoing regional tensions on stability in the area.
