Egypt Strongly Condemns Targeting of Emirati Oil Tanker in the Strait of Hormuz

In a move reflecting the rising tensions in the Gulf region, the Arab Republic of Egypt has strongly condemned the targeting of an Emirati oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. The incident is considered a blatant violation of international law and a threat to security and stability, prompting Egypt to express its solidarity with the United Arab Emirates in facing these aggressions.

Strong Condemnation from Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its outrage over the brazen attack on the Emirati tanker. It stated that “targeting commercial vessels and disrupting international maritime corridors is a gross violation of the principles of international law that uphold freedom of navigation.” These statements reflect Egypt’s concern over the impact of such actions on security and stability in the region.

Threats to Security and International Supplies

Egypt affirmed that the security of the UAE is an integral part of Egyptian national security, citing the close relations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi.

Solidarity with the UAE

Egypt has declared its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates in taking the necessary measures to protect its security and national interests. This support includes Egypt’s firm rejection of any actions that threaten the security and stability of the Gulf Arab states, reflecting its steadfast commitment to the security of the entire region.

Egypt’s statements following this targeting reflect its strategy to maintain regional security and enhance cooperation with its partners amid escalating tensions and security challenges.
