The Brave Knight initiative serves as a model of humanitarian bridges extending from the UAE to Gaza, reflecting the deep commitment of the United Arab Emirates to the Palestinian people and reaffirming its leading role in providing humanitarian aid. This unique initiative stands out at the “Bridge Summit 2025,” highlighting ongoing efforts to build humanitarian bridges that cross borders and support communities facing significant challenges. In this article, we explore how the Brave Knight initiative contributes to changing the lives of those affected in Gaza and providing the necessary assistance.
The “Brave Knight 3” operation, presented during its participation in the “Bridge Summit 2025,” serves as a vivid example of the humanitarian bridges the UAE is building to assist Palestine and other countries facing exceptional and difficult circumstances. This initiative underscores the UAE’s presence as one of the most prominent humanitarian efforts that embody the ethical and humanitarian principles of the nation. The operation showcased the UAE’s ability to transform solidarity into a sustainable action framework, making a tangible impact on the lives of those affected.
The participation of this operation in the summit stems from its belief that media is a key partner in conveying the humanitarian message and raising international awareness of the scale of efforts being made. The continuous humanitarian work led by the UAE in Gaza is reflected in the establishment of the UAE water line, which stretches 7.5 kilometers from the desalination plant in Rafah, Egypt, to Khan Younis, with a production capacity of up to 2 million gallons per day, providing a vital source of water in the most affected areas.
On the medical side, the floating hospital provided high-quality medical support through 100 beds, treating over 20,000 cases. The UAE field hospital, which includes 200 beds, continued to offer its services to the injured and sick, recording more than 54,000 cases that received care over the past months. The efforts also included enhancing food security by supporting 71 community kitchens and 42 bakeries within the sector, ensuring the provision of basic meals to affected areas.
As part of the “Bridges of Goodness” operation, 81 air relief missions were carried out using 218 aircraft, transporting over 4,500 tons of various aid. Contributions also extended to rehabilitating infrastructure, repairing water lines with 36 tankers, and maintaining 114 water wells to ensure continued supply for residents. Additionally, the UAE provided 45 scholarships within the country to empower Palestinian students and support their academic journey.
Mohammed Al-Sharif, the official spokesperson for the “Brave Knight 3” operation, stated that the operation’s participation in the summit aims to emphasize the role of media in conveying humanitarian messages and showcasing the UAE’s efforts to the world. He said, “We are present today at the Bridge Summit because the media is a partner in delivering the message, encouraging contributors, institutions, and donors. Our message is humanitarian first, and our goal is for the world to see what the UAE is doing and to continue motivating everyone to give.”
Al-Sharif explained that this year’s participation included 20 charitable organizations under the umbrella of “Brave Knight 3,” embodying the directives of the wise leadership and its continuous follow-up on this enduring humanitarian legacy. He added, “We and the media are partners in conveying the humanitarian message. What we are doing is not just relief operations; it is a comprehensive system that reflects the values of the UAE and its global humanitarian role.”
Al-Sharif addressed the latest developments in the relief operations, noting that the team is preparing to sail the 11th ship from the UAE to Gaza in the coming days, named “The Humanitarian Ship of Mohammed bin Rashid.” He indicated that the maritime efforts are launching from the UAE, Cyprus, and El Arish, all part of the ongoing Brave Knight efforts.
The “Brave Knight 3” pavilion at the summit attracted visitors’ attention with its visual content and works documenting humanitarian efforts. Al-Sharif concluded by saying, “The Bridge Summit today is a true bridge for the humanitarian message… and a platform that allows us to convey to the world what we are doing in continuous support of the Palestinian people.”
