Summer Programs Empower Future Leaders Through National Funds

The summer programs of the National Fund, which focus on the generations of the future, represent an important strategic step towards enhancing national identity and cultural values among Emirati youth. This year, in the third edition of this initiative, activities are spread across 54 locations throughout the Emirates, aiming to attract 50,000 students from schools and universities. Through hundreds of recreational and artistic activities, the National Fund hopes to instill a love for the homeland and pride in the Arabic language in the hearts of the new generations, reflecting a national commitment to the heritage and rich history of the UAE.

Innovative Summer Activities and Programs

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the National Fund, emphasized the importance of providing all necessary resources to ensure the success of the summer programs. He explained that the activities include theatrical performances, featuring more than 30 shows for the first time, in addition to lessons and activities in Arabic calligraphy and heritage. These activities aim to enhance pride in national identity and the Arabic language, making the National Fund’s summer programs a bridge between different generations.

Program Trends and Goals

Sheikh Nahyan also pointed out the importance of the programs serving as an educational and recreational platform capable of delivering engaging content. These efforts align with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aimed at instilling national identity in the hearts of youth. In this context, Sheikh Nahyan stated, “It is essential to focus on making programs related to the Arabic language attractive and innovative, so that students embrace them with love and enjoyment, allowing our message of support and protection for this language to reach the generations we are nurturing to shape the future of the UAE.”

Diversity of Age Groups

The Director General of the National Fund, Yasser Al-Qarqaoui, explained that the summer programs categorize participants into three age groups: 8 to 10 years, 11 to 13 years, and 14 to 16 years. This involves preparing appropriate educational content for each age group to ensure their needs are met and to provide enjoyable experiences. Most importantly, these activities focus on enhancing the values of national identity and the Arabic language, as well as fostering awareness and sustainability among the new generations.

A Clear Message for the Future

Through these summer programs, the National Fund aims to strengthen the sense of belonging among youth, as this commitment serves as a launchpad for a better future. Sheikh Nahyan noted that these activities represent a “living embodiment” of a national vision that aspires to build a strong and sustainable community. The National Fund’s summer programs lay the foundation for building an enthusiastic generation proud of its identity and culture, enabling them to face future challenges with confidence and creativity.
