In an exciting initiative aimed at enriching the summer experience for students, the Ministry of Education has launched two concurrent summer programs for public school students. These programs, named the Specialized Sports Summer Camp and the Summer Camp 2026 under the motto “Your Summer with Us,” aim to utilize students’ free time through educational, sports, and recreational activities. By doing this, the ministry hopes to enhance students’ skills, hone their talents, and strengthen values such as national identity and volunteerism.
Specialized Sports Summer Camp
The Specialized Sports Summer Camp is set to take place from July 6 to August 6, 2026, under the slogan “A Distinguished Sports Summer.” This program, supervised by qualified coaches, will focus on jiu-jitsu and swimming. Its primary objectives are to develop students’ technical and specialized skills, enhance physical fitness, promote overall health, and instill values such as discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. Additionally, the program aims to discover and nurture promising athletic talents.
Encouraging Enrollment and Participation
Parents are invited to register their children for the camp through designated educational facilities. This initiative allows students to engage in specialized sports activities in a safe and stimulating training environment during their summer break.
Summer Camp 2026: A Blend of Education and Recreation
In parallel, the Ministry is also organizing the Summer Camp 2026 under the theme “Your Summer with Us.” This camp caters to students across two age groups: 6 to 12 years and 13 to 17 years. The programs will merge education and entertainment to cultivate skills, uncover talents, and reinforce national identity and community involvement. The camp is organized in two phases, with the first phase scheduled from July 6 to 10 for girls, followed by a second phase from July 13 to 17 for boys, operating daily from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Locations and Community Impact
The camps will take place at various approved facilities, including the Umm Suqeim School for girls in Dubai, ensuring a wide reach and community engagement. These initiatives are part of the ministry’s strategic direction to offer high-quality programs during the summer vacation, aimed at developing students’ personalities, enhancing their physical and skill-based capabilities, and providing opportunities to discover their talents. Through such targeted activities, the ministry is dedicated to supporting healthy lifestyles and fostering community participation among students.
