His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, inaugurated the newly rehabilitated Dinas Health Centre located in the Dinas area on Mindanao Island in the Philippines. This initiative was supported by the “Pain and Hope” programme, which is broadcast on Sharjah Channel, part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, in collaboration with the Sharjah Charity Association.
Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charity Association, emphasised that the charity projects on Mindanao Island reflect the association’s commitment to humanitarian efforts. He also noted that they align with the vision of the wise leadership and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in extending assistance to those in need and providing essential requirements for a decent life in impoverished communities.
Sheikh Saqr expressed his gratitude for the effective and ongoing partnership between the Sharjah Charity Association and the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, which has resulted in the implementation of significant charitable projects in various needy communities across multiple countries. These initiatives have benefited thousands, providing essential services that include housing, healthcare, vocational training, and education in the Arabic language, as well as Quran memorisation.
His Highness, the Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, toured the health centre, observing its various rooms designed to meet the medical needs of the local population. The centre includes consultation rooms for general practitioners and dentists, maternal and neonatal care, emergency services, as well as a pharmacy and modern laboratory.During his visit, His Highness was informed about the state-of-the-art medical equipment supplied to the health centre, which aims to provide the best healthcare for the local populace. This equipment includes advanced imaging devices such as X-rays, ultrasound machines, and specialised equipment for maternal and neonatal care, which features examination beds, suction devices, and precise weighing scales for newborns. Additionally, devices for general medical examinations and treatments, including ECG monitoring, have also been provided.
The health centre is further equipped with multiple emergency devices to manage urgent cases and facilitate the efficient admission and discharge of patients, ensuring integrated healthcare services are delivered.
Concluding the visit, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed exchanged commemorative gifts with the senior officials of the Dinas area and captured group photographs with the health centre’s administration and medical team.
Accompanying His Highness during the inauguration were Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Charity Association; Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, General Director of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; Tareq Said Alai, General Director of the Sharjah Government Media Office; and Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council, along with several officials.
