His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court, reviewed the strategic plans for organizing the second edition of the “Emirati Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026.” This significant event is scheduled to take place at the ADNEC Center in Al Ain in April 2026, aiming to enhance food security and support Emirati farmers.
High-Level Directives for Conference Development
During the meeting, His Highness praised the efforts made in the first edition of the conference, emphasizing the need to amplify the impact of the second edition. He directed that the development of this edition continue to maximize the support provided to farmers and strengthen partnerships with academic and private sector institutions, in addition to empowering youth in agriculture. These directives reflect the leadership’s vision towards achieving a sustainable national food system.
New and Diverse Dimensions in the Upcoming Edition
Among the updates mentioned, the introduction of “food industries” will be a significant part of the new edition, contributing to linking the entire value chain from agricultural production to food manufacturing. This approach will support the food value chain in the UAE, enhance its resilience, and open new economic horizons.
Expansion of Categories and Participants
Her Excellency Dr. Amina bint Abdullah Al-Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, clarified during the presentation that the second edition will witness a qualitative shift in terms of concept and impact. It aims to engage a larger number of farmers from across the country and increase the number of visitors and participating private companies. The new edition will also include new categories such as livestock owners, in addition to community agricultural events and increasing student participation.
Specialized Paths for More Innovation
One of the most notable developments is the introduction of “specialized paths” to provide rich and diverse experiences for visitors. These paths include:
– Farmers’ Path: to honor them and organize workshops while enhancing communication with funding entities.
– Educational Path: targeting school and university students, including motivational events.
– Community Path: focusing on teaching home gardening and promoting self-sufficiency.
– Business and Entrepreneurship Path: encouraging investment and enhancing partnerships.
– International Path: where other countries will be invited to contribute to the events.
These ambitious steps and new expansions underscore the UAE’s commitment to developing an innovative national agricultural sector, making the second edition of the “Emirati Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026” a pivotal event in enhancing food security, empowering farmers, and actively engaging with future generations.
