Strategic Alliance for Educational Advancement
Zayed University has announced a strategic collaboration with Sparks Industries aimed at enabling students to engage in practical research projects while leveraging specialised academic and technical expertise to explore scientific solutions that meet the needs of vital sectors.
This collaboration harmonises the academic and research capabilities of Zayed University with Sparks Industries’ experience in research, development, and manufacturing in advanced materials and nanotechnology. Both parties will identify suitable projects and provide academic and technical guidance to students, with Sparks contributing its specialist materials and expertise to participating research teams.
Research Focus Areas
The projects will primarily focus on investigating the potential applications of manufactured nanomaterials in agriculture, medicine, chemistry, and environmental sciences. This partnership aims to provide students with hands-on experience in designing, conducting, and analysing research while evaluating practical applications and commercial development.
Dr Kevin Hall, the university’s director, emphasised, “The value of university education lies in students’ ability to apply their knowledge across multiple disciplines and address scientific challenges that are still under development. This collaboration supports our approach to providing educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom, allowing students to work alongside specialists and prepare graduates capable of adapting to rapid changes in the science and industry sectors.”
