Results of the Private Schools Assessment
This year, the Etqan program evaluated 31 private schools, representing 9 different educational curricula among 127 schools in the emirate, which together accommodate approximately 39,664 students. The review process focused on schools that had previously achieved a “Good” rating after completing the two-year period designated for re-evaluation. The goal was to measure the sustainability of improvements and ensure the development of educational outcomes.

The cumulative results of the Etqan program over the past four academic years show a significant improvement in the performance of private schools in Sharjah. Eighty-six percent of the schools have raised their performance levels compared to assessments from 2018 and 2019. Meanwhile, 28,720 students are receiving education at an “Acceptable” level. The number of students receiving education at a “Good” level or better increased from 25,351 in 2018 and 2019 to 184,503 after the completion of the fourth cycle of the Etqan program.
