Eid Celebrations Attract 23000 Visitors to Sharjah Livestock Markets

During the recent Eid al-Adha, the livestock markets in Sharjah welcomed approximately 23,000 visitors, a testament to the effective operational readiness and organizational plans that managed high traffic periods efficiently. This year’s turnout highlights the exceptional service delivery in these markets, showcasing careful preparations aimed at optimizing visitor experiences while ensuring a smooth flow of activities.

Sharjah Market: The Hub of Activity

According to Abdullah Al Shamsi, Senior Manager of Sharjah City Markets, “The Sharjah livestock market received about 16,000 visitors during the holiday, and our operational procedures were carried out based on a pre-established plan. We coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure the market’s facilities were fully operational before the holiday.” The market’s strategic distribution of operational teams greatly facilitated the delivery of services, guaranteeing high efficiency and continuous organization throughout the festival.

Al Dhaid Market: Streamlined Visitor Flow

Talal Mohammed, Director of the Central Region Markets, noted that “The Al Dhaid livestock market welcomed 2,200 visitors during Eid, and we fully prepared it to meet the highest operational standards.” The market adopted a dual-route system to manage traffic: one path for vehicles carrying livestock and another for buyers. This approach not only organized movement but also minimized congestion, thus enhancing the speed and quality of service for visitors.

Khor Fakkan and Kalba: Balanced Services

Hilal Al Naqbi, Senior Manager of the Eastern Region Markets, shared that “The Kalba market hosted 3,060 visitors, while Khor Fakkan attracted 1,720 during the festive days.” Both markets operated under a unified operational plan focused on delivering comprehensive services that met visitor needs efficiently. Standards for cleanliness and safety were strictly maintained, ensuring quick processing of transactions during peak times.

A Model of Operational Excellence

The successful management of the Eid al-Adha season in Sharjah’s livestock markets underscores their commitment to high operational standards. Through meticulous planning and resource allocation, along with collaborative efforts across various locations, these markets ensured the continuity and quality of their services, even under high-pressure circumstances.
